Star 106.5 Today's Music

Tanner | Weekdays 5:30am - 10am

I host the morning show weekdays 530-10. I go to bed early, wake up early and drink a lot of coffee. A LOT of coffee!  When I'm not on the air, I like to ride my bike around Rocklin, work out or do Hot Yoga. Have you tried Hot Yoga? It's crazy hot but super good for you. And that reminds me, I should really start going more often :)

Each morning I'll tell you what's trending at 629 & 929 and at 840 I do what's called "Tanners Time Machine." This is when I play a hugely popular song from a long, long time ago.  It could be a song from the 80,s, 90's or the 00's.  It's always fun and definitely brings back memories!

Thanks for listening,

Greg Tanner

Chase Daniels | Weekdays 10am - 3pm

Born on Long Island, New York, Chase listened to the radio and instantly wanted to be on the other side of the speakers. He's passionate about Top 40 music and radio and he couldn't be happier now that he's STAR 106.5!
His career started in Jacksonville, Florida where he was quickly promoted within the ranks of the local radio stations. Most recently Chase was the afternoon show host at a pop station in Atlanta.

Sheryl Stewart | Weekdays 3pm - 7pm

Hi, I'm Sheryl. I've rewriiten this, like a million times because it keeps sounding like a really bad match.com profile. Ha!
The thing is....I really DO love long walks on the beach. I grew up in So Cal and Maui is my happy place. The beach walks are totally, totally happening any time I get near one.
Long conversations over a fabulous dinner? Yes and YES! I love meeting and talking to new people, which is probably why interviewing artists and talking to YOU on the phone are two of my favorite things about this job.
...and about that fabulous dinner?  Yeah, I'm a foodie. I blame that on spending so much time in Portland, where they name their chickens before they serve 'em up over a bed of locally sourced, organically farmed heirloom veggies. Farmer's markets are another one of my (many) happy places. So is Dos Coyotes. I could eat there every day for the rest of my life.....except on the days when I drive to Nevada City, mostly for the wine tasting.
Of course, it goes without saying that I love music. All kinds of music. My ipod is full of indie bands you've never heard of.....and P!nk.....and Nirvana.....and Ke$ha. If it sounds good, I listen. I don't believe in labels.....unless they are attached to impossibly expensive shoes.....which I don't buy too often, as I am the clumsiest person you know (google "reporter falls off skateboard" if you don't believe me).
See what I mean about this sounding like an e-date profile? Haha!
Really, though, I can't wait to get to know you better! Thanks for listening to Star 106.5, weekdays from 3pm-7pm!

Rayne | Weekdays 7pm - 10pm

Rayne is a personality that blends music and pop culture into his colorful, witty and sometimes over the top, hilarity. He has a confident, addictive personality that lures you in and won't let go.

Starting in radio at the age of 13, Rayne has made radio not only is career, but his passion. From his first full-time on-air job in Reno at 19, to Las Vegas, Tulsa, Okla., Indianapolis, In., Detroit, Mi and now Sacramento, Rayne loves to showcase new and up-coming music and artists, thought-provoking banter and tongue-in-cheek commentary into his show every day.

When he is not on the radio, you can find him watching San Francisco Giants baseball, traveling on the weekends, shredding powder on his snowboard at Lake Tahoe, working out at the gym or just watching movies with his dog, Henry the Pug.
